Updated photos

I thought I would update photos. This is Collin being Yoda and Emma dressed up like Paris Hilton. Halloween was pretty fun this year. It gets better each year as the kiddos get bigger!

tis the season!

I absolutely love this holiday season! I love it all. I love how first it starts out with fun things to do on Halloween like carve pumpkins, decorate with scary decorations and of course pick out a great costume! Then after the ball gets rolling and the imagination juices are flowing comes Thanksgiving. There are table decorations to think up and make and the other ones made with fruit and leaves and stuff that go on a shelf. I love Thanksgiving cuz its usually the one I spend with my side of the family and we eat wonderful food and play games all nite long!! Next comes Christmas my favorite holiday! Its my favorite for many reasons. First and foremost its the time we celebrate the birth of our Savior. I love to sing in the church choir for Christmas because I love the hymns and other music we sing. I can feel the spirit testify through the music and words that we sing that Christ did come, and that he lived and died for us. I love the other classic Christmas music that is played on the radio like dashing through the snow, Rudolf, and Have a holly, jolly Christmas!! The next best thing is all the decorations and lights. I love lights, they are so beautiful, I wish we could have them on all year long! I love getting Christmas presents for my family, Cory is kind of hard cuz hes just hard to buy for but its fun buying for everyone else and seeing how excited they get. I also like the big Christmas Eve dinner and nice Christmas day breakfast. I always like good food! I am sure there are sooo many other things I can think of or important ones I have forgotten but oh well!

So I guess a little update could be nice so this is it! We moved to Rexburg and are loving it! Of course it still is summer time and we haven't hit the windy, below freezing winter weather yet! Collin is getting bigger and funner everyday. Cory was accepted to the winter, summer semesters at BYU-I but is going to take some night classes during the fall.

These are some pictures of Collin when he was a couple weeks old.

He was so wide eyed.

Here he is with Memema his great grandmother.

This was just about the time he started to smile for the first time.

Cory could really make him smile big!

This was the day we blessed him. His little white suit was so cute.

It has a bow tie and vest. The only problem was the pants had gotten switched at the store so the top was 3-6 month old and the bottom was 6-9 so they were huge! He just slept during the whole blessing and Cory did a good job.

This cousin picture was during Lindzi's baby shower a few weeks ago. Emma loves playing with her cousins!

He is getting so big!

This was on Emmas birthday. She is now two!

We got her a little bike for her birthday but gave it to her a few months ago so she could use it this summer but for her actual birthday she got a princess crown and some play high-heels from her cousins. Its been a few days and I think she has wore those shoes every day, she loves them!

This was her home made birthday cake

And she even blew out her candles by herself!

Collin!!!

Ok so I have all these pictures in the wrong order! Oh well! I let Emma "color" today and I turned around and this is what she had colored on, herself!!

Mindi and Jason brought a trampoline from there old house and set it up here. Emma was a little scared to jump at first but really liked it after she got used to the idea.

Collin has a very cute smile but I always seem to miss it when I try to take a picture of it!

I had to go to the bathroom and when I came back Emma had pulled out all his diapers and had put them all around and on top of him!

I think it is cute he is hugging one and was sucking of the corner of it!

Isn't it funny that babies can look so different one picture to the next? The top one he looks like he has a skinny face and the next one down, taken one minute later, makes him look super chubby!

Gotta have some hospital pictures! Dad and Collin

Mom, big sister, and Collin

The Collin story. I was not too terribly uncomfortable the last month but I think that I wanted him to come because of what that signified in my mind, which was the beginning of a whole bunch of change. First he would be born, then in a month and a half we would move back to Rexburg, Cory would start school there and then we would live on until he graduated, we would move where he got a job and so on and so on. So I was impatient for him to come and because of that and the fact that he is related to Emma (who was 5 days late), he took his sweet time and had to be induced. I don't think I liked knowing the exact day I would be going through horrible pain but would rather be surprised and excited when I start contracting all on my own!
Well the induction date was on Monday the 12 and all day Sunday I kept thinking about how it was going to be TOMORROW and I would count down the hours, it was suppose to be at 5am. We got home from church at 4, ate and then around 6 Emma had a stinky diaper so I guilted Cory into changing it. She was on the bed and when he bent over to change it he had a sudden stab of pain in his lower back and then couldn't stand back up straight! Well long story short we ended up going to the ER around 9 that night. They checked out his bones and just said it was just a bad muscle strain, gave him 3 different kinds of strong pain killers, a strict order not to do anything strenuous for two weeks and sent us home.
Five hours later we went back to the same hospital to check me in to get induced! Cory was pleasantly drugged up and felt no pain, I on the other hand was experiencing increased pain hourly! Finally around 11 I asked for some kind of pain reliever and they gave me this stuff that they said would make me loopy. Boy were they right! I was dreaming of cartoon characters and felt like I was looking through a kaleidoscope, it was crazy! Well that wore off after a few hours and then the pain was pretty intense so I got an epidural. That numbed me all but one spot and where I could feel it felt like he was pushing on my pubic bone, it was so bad they call the anesthesiologist back in and he "fixed it" for me. Oh I was so grateful! The hospital was very busy with 6 births and 2 C-sections and so even though I was at a 10 around 1 or 2 they didn't get around to me until 3. I didn't mind cuz I was pain free, couldn't move my legs or feel them, but I was pain free! I ended up pushing for an hour and he wouldn't come out. The doctor said he was facing to the left and tried to turn him so he would come out easier but he never turned. He also would almost come out and then would go back inside when I would take a breath, very annoying!
He finally came out, I only tore a little and he was 8.6, which was a lot bigger than I thought he would be because I didn't gain very much weight. An hour later when Emma came she was kind of quiet at first and just stared at him but eventually she wanted to hold him and gave him kisses. She really likes him and when we were still at the hospital and she was home I guess she talked about baby Collin all the time!!
We came home on Weds to a new development with Cory. Because of the medicine he was taking he got a little stopped up. And that made him sick to his stomach and couldn't keep anything down. That in turn made it so he couldn't take any more medicine and so he was in constant pain. The only way he could sleep was in a hot bath. So we were quite the pair. The original plan was that Cory would take care of Emma and I would Collin but that wasn't quite working out. Thank goodness for Mindi and her family! They basically adopted Emmers for a week or so until Cory and I both got on our feet.
Collin is doing great. He is sporting a bump on his head because he was pushing out the wrong way. We don't really think he looks like Emma at all. He has the same nose but he has a small head and very big grey/blue eyes. His feeties are big and he has super long toes!
We think he is pretty wonderful and love him being a part of our little family!

Camping!

Cory had spring break and we decided that if the weather was nice we should do something! It was going to be so we decided to go to Galveston Island, camp and see the Gulf of Mexico! We left Thursday after my doctors appointment and after hitting Houston's rush hour just perfect, and did the stop and go for over an hour we finally made it to Galveston. We planned on camping every night but just as we crossed the bridge onto the island we were surrounded by a thick fog. We couldn't see anything! We would pass these signs that said caution drop off. No one else was on the road with us. It was like a part of a scary movie! Finally we saw some shops and a McDonald's and tried to get directions but after three different sets of directions we decided to just get a hotel that we saw across the street. When we woke up in the morning it was beautiful, we could see all these cool houses on stilts and the ocean! The signs we saw the night before were these 10-15 foot drop offs from the highway to the beach and ocean. We got a camp site but it was only available for one night, we were upset, the Internet said it was first come first served but that was not the case. We set up camp and then went to the beach! The weather was nice but there was a cold breeze that made it so you couldn't get wet or you would freeze! At first Emma held our hand the whole time but after a while she ventured off on her own. We picked up sea shells and just enjoyed the sand. Later we had lunch, hot dogs yum, took a nap and then Cory tired fishing in this lake by our camp site. The wind had picked up during our nap and didn't let up until about 8 when we built a fire and ate dinner. We were all comfortable in our tent, I slept on an air mattress, and it would have been a nice night but spring break ya know, darn college kids stayed up until 3 or 4. They weren't being loud with music or yelling or anything but their voices carried very well. The next day we went to the beach again and it was a little warmer. Emmers got a little wet but had fun in the water. Sense we couldn't camp there again we decided to just go home a little early. It was probably a good thing we did, I drowned Emmers in sun screen but she was still sun burnt and really tired so it probably wouldn't have been a good night with her anyway. We drove home and actually kind of enjoyed driving thru Houston that time! A good time was had by all and now I can say that I have been to the the Gulf Coast!

Emmers was great help taking down the tent! She found the Cheetos, sat and watched us take it down!

So these two pictures I took in complete darkness in our tent that night.

She had so much fun!!

Some changes

First and most exciting is that I have only 5 and a half weeks left until Collin is due! Whoo hoo!! I am very proud to announce that I have gained only half the weight I did when I was pregnant with Emma! I am also very excited that Lindzi is also pregnant with a little boy so they will be only six months apart and hopefully be buddies. Steph is due in Sept but they don't know what they are having yet, it would be fun to have three little boys all around the same age! Fun times!

Another thing that is different is that Cory, Emmers and I have moved to the new outback rooms and Mindi, Jason and the kids have moved into the house where we were. It was tough for everyone to move all their things but I hope it will end up being worth it for everyone. So far so good, it has its ups and downs! I am most excited living out here when the baby's born because he and I will be able to nurse and take naps not in the big house where everyone else will be.

About 7 months ago for my birthday Cory got me a massage and pedicure and yesterday I went and had them done. Well actually I had an appointment last week and somehow they forgot that I signed up for both and only gave me the pedicure so to fix it they gave me that one for free and I got my gift card back and could come again whenever I wanted. That was nice of them but I had my mind set on that massage! I could have cried! When ya feel like yer body is falling apart and everything hurts from head to toe and relief is in sight its awful to get it taken away! So I set up the appointment for the next week and they changed the pedicure to a manicure! I had a massage once when I was pregnant with Emma and they had a pillow with a hole in it that I laid on and they massaged me like normal, well this time they did a "special prenatal massage" and I had to lay on my side with a body pillow between my ankles, knees and arms. I have to admit I was kind of looking forward to laying on my stomach, even for just a little while, its funny the things you miss when you cant do them for any extended period of time! It was different but nice and definitely hit the spot! So Thanks Cory Love You!!

Christmas time, better late than never!

We had a wonderful Christmas! Da was Santa at the ward Christmas party and we got this cute picture of the two of them.

This was Cory waiting in line to see Santa.

Christmas morning Cory was so excited to have everyone open presents that he actually woke Emma up! I got the camera ready and then he walked in with her. She was a little out of it but her reaction to her big present was great!

I actually walked in on her and she was already in this position so I quickly got the camera and took some pictures.

She is such a character, we are very grateful that we get to have her in our family.

So this is me! I am 6 months in these pictures. I feel really good and things are going great! So far I am enjoying this one a lot more than the other one!
I counted a few days ago and I think I am close to having 12 weeks left.
